Pastor Collin Govender, married to Jessica, the first lady and daddy to Kimberley Rene` & Kerri-Lee Renelle.

His willingness to submit to authority has seen the Lord raise him up as a humble shepherd, with a skill set to serve and lead.

Pastor Collin currently pioneers this steadily growing congregation in the heart of Ashley, Pinetown. His uncompromising, dynamic and unique blend of humour in his fiery sermons keeps people coming for more so that they are equipped to be better agents of change as salt and light in the earth. He has graduated from the Bethesda Bible College in 1998 and has in the same year begun his ministry.

Bread of Life was born in an atmosphere of prayer in the year 1999 with the first service being held at the garage of the late Mr. G. Govender (owner of Pinetown Driving School). The church then purchased a property in Ashley and has grown steadily from a handful of people to a thriving congregation. Bread of life was officially opened to the Glory of God by the Moderator of the FGC Dr. Anton Van Deventer on the 15 February 2004. Today, under the leadership of Pastor Collin, Bread of Life has a dream to be effective agents of Change in the Earth. A church that has great promise for growth and potential for great and mighty exploits for the Kingdom of our LORD and CHRIST.

That Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life – John 14:6

Our dream is :

Romans 8:28 (NIV) “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

To develop a multi-facet site that would be large enough to extend our home to others that would find Jesus as their Saviour,
To reach the lost through missions & evangelism
To build champions in our Youth , Children, Entrepreneurs, and families for divine deployment in their areas of gifting to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the earth
Raise sons and daughters that carry the heart of loyalty to help extend the vision of this house
Raise a Passionate Music ministry that is sensitive to the Holy Spirit and Returns to the Heart of Worship
Raise more prayer cells in the community to infiltrate the forces of darkness and to develop leadership skills through small groups
